CHENGANNUR - MAVELIKKARA DIOCESE

The Chengannur - Mavelikara Diocese formed in the year 1993 November 1st is one of the Missionary Dioceses of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church, has been moving on to its 31st year of faith journey. With 88 parishes in India, 4 Parishes in Muscat, 13,545 Families with 8 Centres and 7 mission fields in and outside Kerala, 5 Social welfare projects, 1 Camp Centre (Tharangam Mission Action Centre), 4 Charitable Societies, and 40 Healing & Palliative Projects. The Diocese effectively brings into the society the four fold ministry of preaching, teaching, healing and caring. The Diocese rigidly upholds the reformed values and traditions of the Church and extends its arms to the downtrodden and the marginalized. With a missionary zeal, the Diocese moves ahead with sustainable developmental activities within the Church and in the society. The Diocese share the pains of the needy and has always been a comfort for the least, last and the lost.
